This visual novel game takes place on a retro chat software reminiscent of AOL following the protagonist's online relationship with a girl named Emily from senior year of high school to senior year of college. So far, Seeley has developed two more games which is a continuation of "Emily is Away" with "Emily is Away Too" and "Emily is Away <3". The third game was released in April of 2021.
